Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio’s 1st district since 2023, has been vocal on social media regarding taxation and budgetary issues. His recent tweets reflect his concerns about tax equity and governmental fiscal responsibility.

On March 14, 2025, Congressman Landsman tweeted about the disparity in tax payments between average citizens and wealthy individuals or large corporations. He stated, “At my town halls, I always ask people to raise their hands if they pay all of their taxes. Everyone raises their hand. We all pay our taxes, yet the uber wealthy and big corporations – the big donors – don’t pay any? Fix this shit.”

Later that day, he urged collaboration to ensure government functionality through budget approval. In his tweet at 18:00 UTC, he emphasized the importance of maintaining government operations and reducing corruption and costs. He said, “Work with us! We’re all in to pass a budget that keeps the government open, stops the chaos, stops the corruption, and lowers costs. Let’s get to work – together. I’ll get on a plane back to DC today.”

On March 15, 2025, Congressman Landsman expressed frustration over insufficient opposition to a bill he believes will exacerbate economic instability. He tweeted at 18:26 UTC about his dissatisfaction with efforts against certain legislative measures and criticized former President Trump along with Congressional Republicans for their role in economic challenges. His tweet read: “I’m pissed they didn’t fight harder to kill a bill that will accelerate the chaos, corruption and higher costs. But…the focus will be on what Trump and Congressional Republicans are doing to kill the economy and jack up prices.”
