Congressman Greg Landsman, currently serving Ohio’s 1st district, recently expressed his views on economic policies through a series of tweets. Born in Cincinnati in 1976 and a graduate of Ohio University, Landsman has been an active voice in Congress since replacing Steve Chabot in 2023.

On May 13, 2025, Landsman critiqued the House Republican tax proposal, highlighting its benefits for corporate lobbyists and CEOs. In his tweet, he cited PunchBowl News, stating: “If you’re a corporate lobbyist (or CEO), you made out pretty well in this House Republican tax proposal.”

Later that day, at 15:39 UTC, Landsman commented on the impact of tariffs implemented during Donald Trump’s presidency. He suggested that these tariffs create financial instability for Americans already facing difficult economic conditions. His post referenced Adam Mockler: “The chaos and uncertainty of Trump’s tariffs will do real damage to people’s bank accounts, which are already pretty grim for most Americans.”

In another tweet at 17:27 UTC on the same day, Landsman addressed healthcare costs for low-income individuals. He pointed out that such individuals are required to pay each time they visit a doctor. His statement was direct: “1) Requires low-income Americans to pay to visit the doctor. Every time they visit the doctor, they pay money.”
