Congressman Greg Landsman, serving Ohio’s 1st district since 2023, recently voiced his opinions on the current tax and economic policies through a series of tweets. He expressed concerns about the financial implications these policies may have on Americans, particularly highlighting the challenges faced by the working class.

On April 15, 2025, Landsman tweeted “It’s why they’re going after Medicaid, Social Security, and the federal workforce. They’re trying to pay for their tax cuts by cutting support for working people.” In this message, he criticized attempts to slash financial support programs to fund tax cuts.

Another tweet shared the same day, stated “Congressional Republicans want to keep a tax plan where the uber-wealthy get tax cuts three times larger than what most Americans receive — while adding trillions to the national debt. That tax code is broken. It doesn’t work.” This underscores his disapproval of the current tax code, suggesting it disproportionately benefits the wealthy while increasing national debt.

Further reinforcing his stance on taxation, Landsman opined, “Everyone at the top should pay all their taxes, so Americans can pay all their bills.” This tweet emphasized accountability in tax payments as a means to alleviate financial burdens on Americans.

Greg Landsman is currently serving in the U.S. Congress, representing Ohio’s 1st district. He replaced previous U.S. Congress member Steve Chabot in 2023.
