Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to outline his legislative priorities and communicate with constituents.
On August 14, 2025, Landsman reiterated his commitment to Social Security in a post stating, “I’ll always fight to protect Social Security. That means ending the tax on benefits and providing real relief— like helping seniors with property taxes— without touching a penny of your earned benefits.”
Later that day, he addressed healthcare funding and criticized recent federal budget decisions. In an August 14 post, he wrote, “Trump’s mega-spending bill cuts nearly $1T from healthcare— taking coverage from 15 million Americans— to give tax breaks to the super-wealthy. We’re fighting to restore that funding by co-sponsoring the Protecting Healthcare and Lowering Costs Act.”
On August 15, Landsman announced new ways for constituents to follow his office’s work: “We’re on Substack! It’s another way to stay connected with our office and see the work we’re doing to solve big problems.”
Landsman has served as the representative for Ohio’s 1st district since 2023 after succeeding Steve Chabot. He was born in Cincinnati in 1976 and continues to reside there. Landsman is an alumnus of Ohio University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999.
