Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio’s 1st district since 2023, has been vocal on social media about various issues concerning healthcare and related policies. His recent tweets address significant changes that he perceives as detrimental to public health services.
On May 13, 2025, Congressman Landsman tweeted about the increase in bureaucratic hurdles in healthcare access. He stated that the changes “add paperwork and red tape to keep people from getting healthcare, and to kick people off their healthcare.”
In another tweet on the same day, he highlighted staffing concerns in nursing homes. He pointed out that there is a policy change which “reduces the minimum number of nurses at nursing homes.” This reduction could potentially impact the quality of care provided to residents.
Additionally, Congressman Landsman expressed his concerns regarding funding cuts for Planned Parenthood. On May 13, he tweeted that these cuts are aimed at eliminating essential health services such as mammograms and STD testing. According to him, this decision “cuts funding for Planned Parenthood to eliminate basic healthcare like mammograms, birth control, STD testing, etc.”
Greg Landsman was born in Cincinnati in 1976 and graduated from Ohio University with a BA in 1999. Since replacing Steve Chabot in Congress two years ago, he has been an active advocate for his constituents’ healthcare needs.
