City of Fairfield recently issued the following announcement.
The public is invited to attend an opening reception for the Art Gallery. Light refreshments provided. John Wiehe is a self-taught artist who brings to life his project by using oils to create portraitures of civil rights leaders.
The project is a collection of portraits that also includes a brief biography of the influential civil rights leaders spanning from enslavement to contemporary times. His hope is that the exhibit will inspire others to learn more about the history and effects of racism.
