Cincinnati, OH – On June 22, Congressman Greg Landsman (OH-01) announced a $2.275 million federal grant for Westwood Northern Boulevard Corridor Plan.

The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a $2.275 million federal grant to the City of Cincinnati Department of Transportation and Engineering to conduct the Westwood Northern Boulevard Corridor Plan, which will identify strategies to ensure safer Complete Streets and sidewalks that facilitate community connectivity, livability, and mobility, and implementing environmentally sustainable alternative modes of transportation to link communities with jobs.

The federal grant is being awarded through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s highly competitive Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) Grant Program – a federal initiative focused on helping communities build transportation projects that have significant local or regional impact and improve safety and equity.

“This investment will allow the city to make real progress in improving all forms of transportation, which is key to making Cincinnati a place where people want to live and raise a family,” said Congressman Landsman. “We have to keep the momentum going, and ensure our economic growth is real and will last. This will help.”

In February, Congressman Landsman wrote to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg expressing strong support for the plan and the awarding of federal grant funding.
