Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1976 and an alumnus of Ohio University, Landsman has been vocal about various legislative issues.

On March 14, 2025, Congressman Landsman posted a tweet urging the rejection of a particular bill. He stated: "Kill this bill that will accelerate the indiscriminate firing of federal workers, the stealing of billions from our communities, and the blatant corruption of Trump and Musk."

In another tweet posted on the same day at nearly the same time, he advocated for negotiations to address these issues. He wrote: "2) Force actual negotiations to stop this chaos, corruption, and higher costs. Language in updated legislation should stop all of this, not allow it."

Additionally, Congressman Landsman emphasized the importance of maintaining government operations. In his words: "1) Fight to keep the government open for the next month or two." This highlights his focus on ensuring continuity in government functions amidst legislative challenges.
