Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on September 19, 2025, regarding the impending expiration of certain healthcare subsidies.

In his first post, Landsman stated, "Those subsidies are set to expire at the end of the year." (September 19, 2025).

He continued by outlining potential national consequences if these subsidies are not renewed: "If they do,

20 million Americans will see their premiums go up

4.2 million Americans will lose their health care" (September 19, 2025).

Addressing the impact on his home state, Landsman wrote: "In our state,

500,000 Ohioans will see their health care costs go up.

120,000 Ohioans will lose their health care." (September 19, 2025).

Landsman has represented Ohio’s 1st District since replacing Steve Chabot in Congress in 2023. He was born in Cincinnati in 1976 and continues to reside there. Landsman is an alumnus of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts degree earned in 1999.
