Harrison Names Duganiero First Female Detective

The City of Harrison Police Department promoted Tara Duganiero to detective corporal at City Council Oct. 18.  She was hired as a police officer in 2016 and has been a certified Ohio Police Officer since 2011. She began her police career with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Duganiero is a graduate of William Henry Harrison High School.

Duganiero is the first woman to earn the rank of detective corporal with Harrison Police. She is the Department’s third female officer since 1850.

The Harrison Police Department preserves the peace, responds to law enforcement service requests and protects life and property within the City limits. The Department employs 24 sworn officers and two police clerks.

All City positions are filled by candidates who have successfully completed the Civil Service exam.
