Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio's 1st district since 2023, has recently expressed concerns over economic policies under the Trump administration and congressional Republicans. In a series of tweets on May 20, 2025, he highlighted key issues that he believes are negatively impacting the economy.

In his first tweet, Landsman stated, "Americans will look back at this moment and realize this is when Trump and congressional Republicans fundamentally broke the economy – even though they ran on fixing it." He further suggested that their actions are exacerbating existing problems.

Continuing his critique, Landsman addressed tax policies in a subsequent tweet posted on the same day. He claimed that "They want to make their tax cuts permanent – the ones that have overwhelmingly helped the uber-wealthy."

In another post made simultaneously, Landsman discussed international trade issues by stating, "There’s a global trade war and tariffs, which will hurt almost everybody. But it's what they're doing with this budget and these taxes that's problematic for you."

Born in Cincinnati in 1976, Greg Landsman graduated from Ohio University in 1999 with a BA. He currently resides in Cincinnati.
