Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on September 17, 2025, addressing issues ranging from agricultural tariffs to energy costs and family leave.

In a post at 15:49 UTC, Landsman commented on the impact of tariffs on American farmers: "Our farmers are suffering from these reckless tariffs. $12B in soybean exports last year to $0. It’s going to get even worse if Congress doesn’t act."

Later that afternoon at 16:30 UTC, he addressed rising utility costs linked to technology infrastructure: "Americans are seeing higher energy bills because of AI data centers. Ohio already said data centers need to pay more to offset their costs. We need that and more to make sure working families aren’t paying to subsidize billion-dollar companies."

Landsman has represented Ohio's 1st District since replacing Steve Chabot in 2023 and resides in Cincinnati, where he was born in 1976. He is an alumnus of Ohio University, graduating with a BA in 1999.
