Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing funding cuts for pediatric brain cancer research, condemning violence, and promoting service academy nominations.
On September 10, 2025, Landsman criticized recent federal actions regarding cancer research funding. He wrote: "This is truly outrageous. They cut funding to help children with brain cancer, and now enrollment in clinical trials has been halted. First time ever a president has given up on beating cancer. Awful."
Later that same day, Landsman responded to an incident involving violence in the country. He stated: "This is absolutely horrible. We do not harm people we disagree with. This violence has no place in America. I am praying for him and his family."
On September 11, 2025, Landsman reminded constituents about the approaching deadline for Service Academy Nominations and encouraged participation in an upcoming information fair: "Applications for our Service Academy Nominations close next Monday, 9/15. If you'd like to learn more before applying, join us this Saturday for our Information Fair, where you can meet representatives and have your questions answered."
Landsman began serving as a member of Congress representing Ohio’s 1st district after replacing Steve Chabot in 2023. Born in Cincinnati in 1976 and currently residing there, he graduated from Ohio University with a BA in 1999.
