Cost of college went up for all students at Elite Welding Academy LLC

Tuition and fees rose 3.4 percent for 2018-19 at Elite Welding Academy LLC, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Ohio students paid $12,268 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $408 more than the $11,860 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 46 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 31 students received grants or scholarships totaling $149,023 and 46 students took out student loans totaling more than $299,000.

Including all undergraduates (81), 39 students used grants or scholarships totaling $199,451, and 50 students took out $380,268 in federal student loans.
