Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio's 1st district, shared his thoughts on the recent passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) through a series of tweets. The tweets highlight both his support for the bill and his concerns about certain provisions attached to it.

On December 13, 2024, Congressman Landsman stated, "The NDAA is a hugely important bill. We had to pass it, which is why I voted yes." This tweet underscores his acknowledgment of the necessity of passing the NDAA.

In a subsequent tweet posted on the same day, he expressed disapproval of specific language included in the bill: "However, the anti-trans language that was attached to it was mean and awful and should never have been included. They suck for forcing it in. We need to take back the House and Senate to avoid this crap." Here, Congressman Landsman criticizes what he describes as "anti-trans language" within the legislation.

Additionally, Congressman Landsman highlighted a key provision of the NDAA in another tweet from December 13: "It included a 14 percent pay increase for junior enlisted soldiers. It’s the backbone of our national security and keeping everyone safe. The bill is at the core of global stability and peace during unprecedented turmoil and uncertainty." This statement emphasizes his approval of measures supporting military personnel within the act.
