On March 5, 2025, Congressman Landsman expressed concern over healthcare policies in a tweet: "They’re coming for your healthcare. Again. AND they’re doing so to pay for wasteful spending on tax giveaways to the uber-wealthy. Truly f*d up, and we’ll fight it."
Later that day, he criticized former President Donald Trump’s rhetoric during a speech, stating: "Trump chose to use this moment to further divide our country, focusing on culture war issues, past grievances, and political revenge and retribution." He added that Trump presented "a negative, backward-looking vision for our country," failing to address real challenges.
In another tweet posted simultaneously with the previous one, Landsman emphasized his expectation of political speeches: "A speech like this is supposed to be a time to lay out a clear, coherent plan to address our greatest issues. His speech was not that."
