Greg Landsman announces veteran award nominations and reiterates call for congressional stock trading ban

Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, announced the opening of nominations for the 2025 Veteran of the Year Award and addressed his stance on banning members of Congress from trading stocks in a series of posts on September 3, 2025.

In his first post at 22:21 UTC, Landsman wrote: "Nominations are OPEN for our 2025 Veteran of the Year Award! SW Ohio is home to so many veterans who served with distinction and continue to lead in our community. If you know a veteran who deserves to be recognized, please submit a nomination before 9/30. https://t.co/GSHRUH7ghA".

Later that evening at 22:39 UTC, he shared two additional tweets. One included only a link: "https://t.co/Vmj260kX4Q". In another tweet posted at the same time, Landsman stated: "Why we're leading on banning members of Congress from trading stocks. https://t.co/VI6dw8txvP".

Greg Landsman has served as a member of Congress since replacing Steve Chabot in 2023 and currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born in Cincinnati in 1976 and earned his BA from Ohio University in 1999.
