Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio’s 1st district since 2023, has been vocal about recent legislative issues on social media. In a series of tweets dated March 11, 2025, he expressed his concerns over certain political actions and their implications.

In one tweet, Congressman Landsman criticized a bill for maintaining what he describes as a "dangerous status quo." He stated that the bill fails to address the influence of major donors like Elon Musk on government operations. "Their bill maintains a dangerous status quo. It does nothing to reign in their donors— Elon Musk and all these other folks who are wreaking havoc on your government."

On the same day, Landsman highlighted the potential consequences of not keeping the government open. He warned that failure to do so would lead to a shutdown, which he argued would exacerbate chaos and negatively impact federal workers and families. "If they don’t keep the government open, they will have a shutdown. Their shutdown will cause further chaos and it will further hurt federal workers and our families."

Landsman also emphasized that avoiding such situations is possible through bipartisan cooperation. He pointed out that during the last Congress, an actual budget was passed with bipartisan support. However, he lamented that current efforts lack Democratic involvement. "This is all avoidable. In the last Congress, we passed an actual budget. We did it in a bipartisan way— they just have to work with us. We are ready to work. So far, they just want to do it on their own. No Democrats."
