In a tweet posted at 18:11 UTC, Congressman Landsman described the scene outside a committee meeting where people were chanting "no cuts to Medicaid". He emphasized the gravity of the situation by noting that "there are hundreds of them - advocating as if their lives were on the line…because their lives are on the line."
Later that day, at 18:51 UTC, Landsman continued his advocacy by stating that he was in committee fighting to save healthcare. He mentioned "These are the 7 ways congressional Republicans plan to cut healthcare for nearly 14 million Americans."
At 19:05 UTC, Congressman Landsman reiterated his commitment to opposing these healthcare cuts. He stated "We’re going to fight these healthcare cuts - life and death cuts for millions."
