Congressman Greg Landsman, who has been serving Ohio’s 1st District since 2023, shared his views on recent political and judicial events on his social media. Landsman, a Democratic representative from Cincinnati, expressed concerns regarding actions related to the Supreme Court and the Trump Administration.
In a post on April 21, 2025, Landsman highlighted a unanimous ruling by the Supreme Court on April 10, directing the Trump Administration to “facilitate” Abrego Garcia’s return to the U.S. He noted, however, that during a visit to the White House, the President of El Salvador stated he would not release Abrego Garcia, and the Administration had not requested his release.
Another post on the same date indicated Landsman's criticism of certain actions perceived to be undermining the rule of law and the democratic system. He suggested that such actions are not isolated but part of a broader pattern under the current leadership.
Further, Landsman commented on the usage of immigration issues by former President Trump as a divisive tactic. He argued that these actions were meant to distract from challenges facing the economy and other sectors, without effectively addressing border and immigration challenges.
Greg Landsman, who is 46, was born and continues to reside in Cincinnati. A graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor's degree obtained in 1999, he succeeded Steve Chabot as the representative for Ohio's 1st District.
