Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district, has shared a series of tweets addressing concerns over healthcare policy discussions. Elected to the U.S. Congress in 2023, replacing Steve Chabot, Landsman has been vocal about healthcare issues. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1976 and a graduate of Ohio University with a BA in 1999, Landsman continues to reside in his hometown.

In a tweet dated May 5, 2025, Congressman Landsman stated "When you hear: 'Kick it to the states' → they’re cutting healthcare 'Work requirements' → they’re cutting healthcare 'Focus on the most vulnerable' → they’re cutting healthcare". He highlights phrases often used in political discourse that he believes indicate potential cuts to healthcare services.

On the same date, another tweet from Landsman critiqued Republican proposals regarding Medicaid. He tweeted "3. 'Only for the most vulnerable' Republicans say they want Medicaid just for people with 'real disabilities.' As opposed to… fake ones? Medicaid has expanded to cover 20 million more people—folks who need healthcare, can’t get it privately, and rely on it to stay healthy and". Here he challenges the notion of restricting Medicaid only to individuals with "real disabilities."

In a follow-up tweet posted moments later on May 5th, Congressman Landsman expressed his commitment to defending access to healthcare. He wrote "I’ll be in the room for this fight. I intend to do everything in my power to win it. The more they hear from you, the more likely it is that we win this fight and everyone gets to keep their healthcare." This indicates his proactive stance and encouragement for public involvement in supporting healthcare access.
