Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio's 1st district since 2023, shared his thoughts on a more effective legislative approach via social media. His recent posts focus on government accountability and bipartisan cooperation.

On May 20, 2025, Congressman Landsman proposed a method to enhance the effectiveness of legislation by having "a small group of Republicans and Democrats" spend "a few days to identify actual waste, fraud, and abuse" from Government Accountability Office reports. He suggested that this approach would ensure that "the bill actually tackles this issue." He further elaborated on his strategy by referencing former President Donald Trump as an example of someone who could implement such measures effectively. According to Landsman: "Trump could do it. Congressional Republicans would follow his lead. Deficit Hawks will love this. Moderate Republicans worried about taking healthcare away from their constituents will love this. Americans will love this."
