Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio's 1st district, recently shared his thoughts on economic issues and corporate consolidation through a series of tweets. Landsman, who has been serving in Congress since 2023 after replacing Steve Chabot, highlighted concerns about wealth distribution and legislative efforts affecting antitrust work.

On May 20, 2025, Congressman Landsman expressed concern over economic inequality in a tweet stating that "When more and more money is hoarded at the top, folks in the middle have less to spend." He pointed out that despite working harder, many individuals still struggle to pay their bills and save money.

In another tweet posted on the same day, Landsman addressed corporate consolidation. He emphasized the need for antitrust work by stating that "To get back to that kind of competitive place, you need to break up a lot of corporate consolidation." He criticized congressional Republicans for working on legislation aimed at hindering these efforts.

Further elaborating on this issue, Landsman noted that certain powers aim to protect their consolidated positions. In his words: "There have been efforts to break up corporate consolidation and return competition." According to him, such measures are essential for ensuring consumer choice and competitive pricing.

Greg Landsman's remarks come as part of his ongoing advocacy for fair economic practices. Born in Cincinnati in 1976 and an alumnus of Ohio University with a BA earned in 1999, he continues to reside in Cincinnati while serving his constituents.
