Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio's 1st district, shared his thoughts on the current budget proposal through a series of tweets. Landsman, who has been serving in Congress since 2023 after replacing Steve Chabot, expressed concerns about the fiscal direction and priorities outlined in the budget.

On May 23, 2025, Congressman Landsman advised that to comprehend the "terrible budget," one should focus on the mathematics involved. He suggested that examining the numbers is crucial for understanding the proposal's implications. "If you're trying to understand this terrible budget, the best way to do it is look at the math."

In another tweet posted shortly after, he criticized Congressional Republicans for their intention to allocate $4 trillion towards tax cuts. According to Landsman, these cuts would primarily benefit "the wealthiest Americans and big corporations." "Congressional Republicans want to spend $4 trillion in tax cuts that mostly benefit the wealthiest Americans and the big corporations."

Furthermore, Congressman Landsman highlighted an apparent contradiction among some Republican members of Congress. He noted that while there are Republicans who are against increasing the deficit and others who oppose reducing healthcare services, they might still proceed with actions contrary to these positions. "You have a bunch of Republicans who don't want to add to the deficit and several Republicans, who don't want to take away healthcare. They may still do it, but they don’t want to."
