Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio’s 1st district since 2023, has been vocal about issues related to antisemitism and free speech. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1976, Landsman holds a BA from Ohio University and has been actively engaging with constituents on social media.

On June 10, 2025, Congressman Landsman addressed concerns regarding the impact of former President Trump's actions on free speech. He stated "Trump’s actions have had a chilling effect on free speech." However, he clarified that the Antisemitism Awareness Act does not restrict free speech but rather identifies certain expressions as antisemitic.

In another post on the same day, Landsman discussed the persistence of antisemitism across political lines. He remarked "Whether any of us want to admit it, antisemitism is alive and well all across the political spectrum – and across the world." He highlighted dangerous myths perpetuated by some groups which can incite violence against Jewish communities.

Additionally, Congressman Landsman emphasized that criticism of Israeli government policies is permissible under the proposed legislation. He explained "The bill allows for criticism of policies or actions of the Israeli government, which is exactly how it should be." He pointed out that unlike many other Middle Eastern countries, Israel permits open protest against its government.

Greg Landsman's engagement on these topics underscores his commitment to addressing antisemitism while balancing free speech rights within legislative frameworks.
