U.S. Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district, posted a series of reflections on discourse and compassion on September 11, 2025.

In his first post, Landsman stated, "Part of this discourse will be partisan. There’s no point in keeping a ledger. It’s very unproductive because all of this is just bad." (September 11, 2025). In another tweet from the same day, he wrote, "3. Sit in prayer or in silence. I’m a praying person, but if you’re not, getting some perspective is helpful in moments like this." He continued his thread by advising readers to act with empathy: "4. Give yourself and others grace. If everyone is getting mad and frustrated, be the one who shows compassion, kindness, support, and love. That's the path forward."

Landsman has served as the U.S. Representative for Ohio’s 1st District since 2023 after replacing Steve Chabot. He was born in Cincinnati in 1976 and currently resides there. Landsman graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999.
