Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared several posts on social media highlighting bipartisan efforts to support local law enforcement and invoking historical unity.
On September 15, 2025, Landsman posted a quote from President Lincoln: “We are not enemies. The mystic chords of memory…will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.” President Lincoln, 1861.
The following day, September 16, he expressed gratitude to colleagues for their cooperation in legislative efforts: "Thank you to our co-sponsors @RepEmiliaSykes, @RepMikeCarey, and @RepMaxMiller."
On the same date, Landsman emphasized the need for increased resources for local police departments: "Local law enforcement agencies need more support to recruit and retain good officers. Our bipartisan Enhancing COPS Hiring Program Grants for Local Law Enforcement Act will give them the tools they need to keep our communities safe."
Landsman has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Steve Chabot. He was born in Cincinnati in 1976 and continues to reside there. He graduated from Ohio University with a BA in 1999.
