U.S. Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district, posted a series of messages on September 24, 2025, emphasizing the importance of compassion and community during challenging times.
In his first post, Landsman wrote, "I do lean on my faith, and when I do, I hear compassion and grace and the need to help lead us out of this nightmare." In a subsequent message the same day, he stated, "I voted yes, not only because I condemn violence, political or otherwise, but also because I know we need more leaders working to lower the temperature - more of us offering compassion and grace in moments like these." He concluded with advice for his followers: "Please take care of yourselves. Take a break from social media, spend more time with friends and family, and build as much community as you possibly can. We’ll get through this."
Landsman has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Steve Chabot as representative for Ohio’s 1st district. He was born in Cincinnati in 1976 and continues to reside there. Landsman graduated from Ohio University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
