Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on September 26, 2025, addressing the need for bipartisan cooperation on healthcare and budget negotiations.
In his first post at 02:14 UTC, Landsman wrote, "What a good president does in this moment is simple… They get the leaders of the two parties in a room at the White House and tell them to agree on a budget."
Shortly after, he added another statement about potential consequences if lawmakers do not act swiftly. "If Congress doesn't act right now, everyone's health care costs are going to go up." In a follow-up post made at the same time, Landsman emphasized the specific focus required from Congress: "In this case, they only have to agree on one thing: healthcare."
Landsman's remarks come amid ongoing debates over federal spending and rising healthcare expenses. He has served as the representative for Ohio's 1st District since replacing Steve Chabot in 2023. Born in Cincinnati in 1976 and currently residing there, Landsman graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999.
