The Blue Ash Police Department Youth Fishing Tournament is coming up and Police Chief Scott Noel wants to help kids catch the largest fish!

Chief Noel is an avid fisherman and he’ll be giving away fishing poles and conducting mini-fishing lessons through the month of April at the Summit Park pond.

Have your child, aged 5 to 16, write a short letter about why they want to learn how to fish and send it to snoel@blueash.com. Chief Noel will select the top ten letters.

Chief Noel has been fishing in competitive Bass Tournaments for over 40 years. He currently competes in the Major League Fishing’s Toyota Series as well as the Phoenix Bass Fishing League which take him all over the Midwest.

Chief Noel credits his father for instilling in him the love of fishing. Chief Noel lost his father in mid-December 2022. As a way to honor his father’s legacy, he will donate his father’s fishing gear to children in the Blue Ash area in hopes they will learn to love the sport of fishing as much as he does.

The deadline to send in letters is April 1, 2023.

The Blue Ash Youth Fishing Tournament will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023. More details to come.
