5.1% of citizens unemployed in Hamilton County in 2021

Hamilton County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 22,479 people out of the 826,790 living in Hamilton County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Hamilton County has decreased compared to the 5.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Hamilton County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 415,113 people who had a job during that time, 401 were employed in the Armed Forces and 414,712 belonged to the civilian labor force.
