On November 26, 2024, Congressman Landsman stated, "Israel wants peace and to be left alone. This ceasefire agreement will require the Lebanese Army to keep Hezbollah off the Israeli border and weapons out of range of Israeli citizens." He emphasized the importance of maintaining peace along the border.

In another tweet posted on the same day, Landsman noted that "This ceasefire agreement should mean that hundreds of thousands of displaced Israelis can return home." This point underscores the potential humanitarian impact of the agreement.

Further elaborating on historical context, Landsman mentioned in a subsequent tweet that "To be clear, a similar effort was attempted years ago. The United Nations promised to keep Hezbollah away from the Israeli border, to disarm Hezbollah, and to empower the Lebanese Army. They failed to do so. This time must be different. We need peace." He called for effective implementation this time around.
