Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio's 1st District since 2023, has shared his views on the ongoing conflicts involving Israel and its neighboring regions. In a series of tweets posted on November 26, 2024, Landsman addressed the complex geopolitical situation and emphasized the need for sustainable peace.

In his first tweet, Congressman Landsman highlighted the threats faced by Israel: "Israel has been attacked on every border from Iranian-backed terror armies, including Hezbollah in the north. Hezbollah should give the Lebanese their country back and leave." This statement reflects his concern over Iran's influence in regional conflicts.

Further elaborating on peace efforts, he noted: "This ceasefire is an important step forward, but the task at hand must be a sustainable peace for everyone. Getting the hostages home, ending the wars, rebuilding Gaza…” His comments underscore the importance of achieving lasting resolutions to ensure stability in the region.

Congressman Landsman also pointed out Iran's role in hindering progress toward peace: "If it wasn’t for Iran and the terror it funds in Gaza and the West Bank, legitimate governing authorities in both territories may have sprung up — investing in Palestinians and their economy, infrastructure and schools. This is the path to a sustainable peace." He suggests that without external interference, there might be potential for development within Palestinian territories.
