Greg Landsman, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio's 1st district, recently addressed several issues through a series of tweets. The tweets focused on discrimination and historical civil rights events, reflecting his ongoing engagement with social justice matters.
On March 8, 2025, Landsman tweeted about an incident involving a Rabbi who was disinvited from speaking at a rally in Cincinnati against Neo-Nazis and white supremacy. He stated that the Rabbi was excluded "solely because of his belief in Jewish self-determination." "We unfortunately confirmed that a Rabbi was disinvited to speak at a rally in Cincinnati against Neo Nazis and white supremacy solely because of his belief in Jewish self-determination."
In another tweet on the same day, Landsman shared his participation in events marking the 60th anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Selma and Montgomery. He highlighted the involvement of Jewish individuals in the Civil Rights Movement during that period. "I’m in Selma and Montgomery this weekend for the 60th anniversary of Bloody Sunday when hundreds of marchers were brutally attacked for their work to end voter suppression in Alabama and elsewhere. Jews joined the march that day."
Additionally, Landsman expressed skepticism about whether any other group would face similar discrimination as experienced by the Rabbi mentioned earlier. He questioned whether such blatant discrimination would occur against any other group, suggesting it was unlikely. "I highly doubt that this group would so blatantly discriminate against any other group of people."
