Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, took to social media to express his concerns regarding multiple issues. His recent posts cover the impact of policy decisions on the global economy, national debt, and Social Security.
On April 29, 2025, Congressman Landsman posted, "Trump unilaterally launched a global trade war. He didn’t just focus on steel or one industry. He literally created a trade war with every single country in the world. It's crushed retirements. Prices are skyrocketing. The global economy and U.S. economy are tanking."
In another post on the same day, he highlighted fiscal concerns, stating, "Adding trillions to our debt. They’ve got this budget that spends trillions of dollars — mostly on tax cuts for the uber-wealthy. They’re paying for it by adding trillions to the deficit and cutting healthcare."
Further emphasizing issues with Social Security, he shared, "Destroying Social Security. The Social Security Administration relies on: Staff — they are indiscriminately firing staff. Offices all over the country — they’re closing them down. They are trying to make it harder for people to access Social Security, in part to pay."
Congressman Landsman, who has served in the U.S. Congress since replacing Steve Chabot in 2023, continues to voice his concerns over matters affecting his constituents in Ohio and the broader national and global community.
