Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio's 1st district since 2023, shared a series of updates on June 16, 2025, regarding a security alert he received. He was informed by the Capitol Police that his name appeared in notes found with a suspect involved in a Minnesota murder case.

On June 16, Congressman Landsman tweeted, "I was notified by Capitol Police that my name was included in the Minnesota murder suspect’s notes." This notification prompted him to release an update and statement to address the situation.

In a subsequent tweet on the same day, Landsman expressed relief at the arrest of the suspect involved. He stated, "We’re very relieved the suspect has been arrested."

Further acknowledging law enforcement efforts, Landsman conveyed gratitude towards local authorities. He tweeted, "I’m extremely thankful to the Cincinnati Police Department for their quick assistance and to Capitol Police for their guidance."

Greg Landsman's involvement with this case underscores his position as an active member of Congress from Ohio's 1st district. Born in Cincinnati in 1976 and holding a BA from Ohio University since 1999, he continues to reside in Cincinnati while serving his constituents.
