Congressman Greg Landsman, who has been serving Ohio’s 1st district since 2023, recently shared updates on security measures and budget concerns through a series of tweets. The Congressman emphasized cooperation with local law enforcement and expressed his views on financial policies impacting healthcare and the national deficit.

On June 16, 2025, Landsman addressed the issue of security by stating, "Since the suspect was still at large at that time, we worked very closely with the Cincinnati Police Department to arrange for increased security for my family and me." This comment reflects coordination efforts between his office and local authorities to ensure safety.

In another post made seconds later on the same day, Landsman noted the ongoing nature of an investigation, saying, "This is an ongoing investigation, and we want to keep you informed, but we don’t have any other information to share right now." This suggests a commitment to transparency while acknowledging current informational limitations.

The following day, on June 17, 2025, Landsman criticized a proposed budget plan in his tweet: "Their budget is terrible—16 million will lose healthcare and trillions will be added to the deficit. There’s a better way: have the ultra-wealthy and big corporate investors pay a little more in taxes. No cuts. No deficit." Here he advocates for alternative fiscal strategies focused on tax adjustments rather than spending cuts.

Greg Landsman's political career began after replacing Steve Chabot in Congress in 2023. Born in Cincinnati in 1976 and holding a BA from Ohio University since 1999, he continues to reside in his hometown while representing it on Capitol Hill.
