Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing the ongoing humanitarian crisis and conflict in Gaza.
On July 29, 2025, Landsman raised concerns about the United Nations and its relief agency operating in Gaza, stating: "3. The UN and UNRWA have serious issues to address. They refuse to distribute hundreds of trucks of food; food sitting inside Gaza. They won’t accept help from Israel because they don’t want to be seen as biased. Israel has offered them protection but they don’t want to work".
In another post on the same day, he called for international action against militant groups and urged pressure on several governments: "Call out Hamas, put pressure on the UN and UNRWA, demand Qatar use every means possible to end Hamas’ terror in Gaza, and do the same with Iran."
Landsman also addressed Iran's involvement in regional conflicts: "5. Iran Put pressure on Iran to dismantle its terror armies — Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. The humanitarian crisis and war in Gaza has to end. Put pressure on Netanyahu to do more, but don’t stop there."
Greg Landsman began serving as a member of Congress for Ohio’s 1st district after replacing Steve Chabot in 2023. He was born in Cincinnati in 1976 and continues to reside there. Landsman is an alumnus of Ohio University, where he graduated with a BA in 1999.
