U.S. Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district, recently addressed legislative priorities and national policy concerns in a series of tweets posted on July 31, 2025.

In one tweet, Landsman discussed proposed legislation focused on U.S. foreign policy: "10. Strengthening America’s Global Leadership Act: This would reaffirm our alliances, fight authoritarianism, and promote democracy and trade. Also, this bill would reinvest in the foreign aid we know is so critical to our national security – and just us as human beings." (July 31, 2025).

Addressing domestic political culture and reform efforts, Landsman wrote: "It needs to have the moral seriousness and political discipline of the Civil Rights movement, so people all over the country know what they’re seeing is really bad. BUT there’s a better way forward—and we can get there. These are the two big things I believe will help us fix" (July 31, 2025).

On healthcare policy, he criticized recent federal budget proposals linked to former President Donald Trump: "Trump’s budget bill guts healthcare for 15M Americans and strips critical funding from hospitals– all to pay for tax cuts for the super-wealthy. We introduced the Protect Our Hospitals Act to reverse one of the worst parts of the bill – cutting the provider tax that helps fund" (July 31, 2025).

Landsman has served in Congress since replacing Steve Chabot in 2023 as representative for Ohio's 1st district. Born in Cincinnati in 1976 and a graduate of Ohio University with a BA earned in 1999, he continues to reside in Cincinnati while focusing on legislative issues including foreign policy and healthcare.
