Starting the New Year with a New Location for 513Relief Services

1

County of Hamilton recently issued the following announcement.

513Relief Bus heads to a central location with easy access over the winter months

Hamilton County is teaming up with the Southwest Ohio Region Workforce Investment Board (SWORWIB) to temporarily house the services of the 513Relief Bus in one convenient location starting in January 2022 for the winter months.

Beginning January 4, 2022, 513Relief Bus services will operate from the OhioMeansJobs (OMJ) Center, 1916 Central Parkway, 45214. This move allows the County’s COVID Relief Programs to be accessible Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in one location, on a bus line with convenient parking.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays each week, Hamilton County Public Health will continue providing no-cost vaccinations and health information at the Central Parkway location. Hamilton County Job and Family Services will also be on hand providing direct assistance to Hamilton County residents in need of rent, mortgage, property tax, and utility relief as well as general social services.  The partnership with SWORWIB will provide workforce training opportunities and connect jobseekers and employers.

Due to the current high demand for 513Relief services, this move will allow daily accessibility with regular hours during the winter. Hamilton County will resume community operations in the spring.

Since June 2021, the Hamilton County Equity and Resources Mobile Tech Bus (aka the “513Relief Bus”) visited 79 locations serving 4,158 Hamilton County residents from 28 different zip codes across Hamilton County. UC Health and Hamilton County Public Health administered 1,582 COVID-19 vaccinations in conjunction with the bus. Details on all the County’s COVID Relief programs, including the 513Relief Bus, can be found at 513Relief.org.
