The Office of Environment and Sustainability has announced the Urban Agriculture Program Mini Grant Opportunity for the upcoming year. This program annually bolsters the local agricultural community as it provides financial grants to support agricultural production and growing sites, as well as local food aggregation and distribution sites in Cincinnati. For those eager to participate in this round of the Urban Agriculture Program Mini Grant Opportunity, the application process as well as funding guidelines are now open and can be accessed on the Office of Environment and Sustainability website. Applications will be accepted through November 17th.
Last year, the program provided $45,000 of support to numerous agricultural efforts and sites across the city, ranging from community gardens and local food cooperatives to schools and community development organizations. All recipients share a common commitment to enhancing the sustainability and equity of Cincinnati's food system. Their collective efforts demonstrate how local food initiatives can serve as building blocks for a more resilient and vibrant community. It is an exciting opportunity for local organizations to partake in a movement that will shape a brighter, more sustainable future for the city and its residents.
Applications are due Friday, November 17, 2023 by 11:59 p.m.
