On February 13, 2025, Congressman Greg Landsman criticized the proposed budget cuts by stating that "Savings means cuts." He expressed concern that these cuts amounting to nearly $1 trillion would result in reduced healthcare for children and seniors. Furthermore, he described this action as "stealing $1 trillion from states and hospitals" to fund what he termed "wasteful spending on tax giveaways to the uber-wealthy."

Later the same day, Landsman questioned the involvement of Elon Musk in governmental affairs. He posted on social media asking "Why is Elon Musk so involved in our government?" and hinted that Musk's involvement was not aimed at increasing efficiency.

In another post dated February 13, 2025, Landsman announced his support for the Ending DOGE Conflicts Act. He stated that "We signed on to the Ending DOGE Conflicts Act" which mandates financial disclosures from government employees who own or control companies receiving federal contracts. He emphasized that "Elon Musk is policing his own conflicts of interest," highlighting potential issues with self-regulation.
