Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio's 1st District, recently shared his reflections on former President Donald Trump's speech to Congress through a series of tweets. The congressman expressed concerns about the tone and content of the address, emphasizing issues he believes are crucial for the nation.

On March 5, 2025, Congressman Landsman tweeted his reaction to Trump's speech, describing it as more akin to a campaign rally than a necessary address for the country. He wrote: "Trump’s speech to Congress last night felt like a campaign rally, and not at all what the country needs right now."

In another tweet posted on the same day, Landsman criticized the absence of discussion on economic issues affecting middle and working-class Americans. He stated: "At no point did he discuss fixing our economy for the middle and working class." He also noted that there was no mention of key social programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, or Social Security.

Further expressing his disappointment with Trump's address, Landsman mentioned attending the joint session with Ken Green, a constituent living with Type 1 diabetes who faces challenges due to high prescription drug costs. In this tweet from March 5th, he shared: "I attended the joint address with my guest, Ken Green... struggling to pay for life-saving medication because of the high cost of prescription drugs." Landsman had hoped Trump would address issues related to Pharmacy Benefit Managers and large corporations.
