Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio's 1st district since 2023, recently expressed concerns over a healthcare bill proposed by Congressional Republicans. Through a series of tweets, he highlighted the potential negative impacts of the legislation on American citizens.

On May 12, 2025, Landsman tweeted that the bill is not merely reducing excess but rather significantly impacting essential services: "This is not trimming fat from around the edges, it's cutting to the bone. The overwhelming majority of the savings in this bill will come from taking health care away from millions of Americans. No where in the bill are they cutting 'waste, fraud, and abuse' - they're cutting".

In another tweet posted later that day, he emphasized the scale of potential losses in healthcare coverage: "1. AT LEAST 13.4 million Americans would lose healthcare. 13.4 million people losing their healthcare is catastrophic. We’re talking about children, families, and seniors."

Additionally, Landsman criticized the Republican-led initiative by outlining its severe implications if enacted: "Congressional Republicans dropped their bill to cut healthcare for millions of Americans. 7 insane things that will happen if this passes".

Greg Landsman was born in Cincinnati in 1976 and has been serving his community since replacing Steve Chabot in Congress two years ago. He holds a BA from Ohio University.
