Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio's 1st district since 2023, recently shared his views on healthcare policies through a series of tweets. The congressman, who succeeded Steve Chabot and resides in Cincinnati, Ohio, expressed concerns about proposed changes to Medicaid coverage and taxation policies.

On May 13, 2025, Congressman Landsman tweeted about the potential impact of policy changes on Medicaid coverage. He stated that the elimination of retroactive Medicaid coverage for nursing homes and emergency room services would effectively remove "the safety net for people when they need healthcare the most." In another tweet posted shortly after, Landsman criticized the decision-makers behind these policy changes. He argued that there are alternative ways to fund tax relief without compromising healthcare services. According to him, making minor adjustments to taxes imposed on the super wealthy could provide sufficient funds to enhance rather than cut healthcare services. He emphasized this point by stating: "They don’t have to do this... They can pay for tax relief for Americans who need it by making the uber-wealthy pay their taxes. The math is simple. Small changes to taxes for the super wealthy will allow them to strengthen healthcare, not cut it... This is a life and death"
