Congressman Greg Landsman, representing Ohio's 1st district since 2023, has taken to social media to address issues related to antisemitism and education. Through a series of tweets on June 10, 2025, he emphasized the importance of understanding the historical context and current implications of antisemitism.

In his first tweet, Landsman remarked on the cyclical nature of Jewish history, stating "The history of Jews is a history of being included and succeeding and it’s almost always followed by periods of exclusion, expulsion and, of course, mass murder." He stressed the necessity for educational initiatives that teach people about what constitutes antisemitism.

Following this introduction, Landsman explained in another tweet how a proposed bill utilizes the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's definition for antisemitism. He clarified that "nowhere in the bill does it punish people for this antisemitism." Instead, it serves as a framework for evaluating existing crimes' intent.

Continuing his advocacy for education over punishment, Landsman's subsequent tweet highlighted the educational focus of the bill. He stated "This is about giving people the tools to learn about antisemitism... It is education and awareness, not punishment." The emphasis remains on fostering awareness and understanding while countering normalization trends.

Born in Cincinnati in 1976 and holding a BA from Ohio University since 1999, Greg Landsman's commitment to these issues aligns with his role as an advocate for educational reform within Congress.
