Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, outlined legislative priorities and called for new national leadership in a series of posts on July 31, 2025.
In one post, Landsman described a proposed bill focused on individual rights: "8. Restoring Personal Liberties Act: Protect personal autonomy—from reproductive freedom, LGBTQ rights, and more." (July 31, 2025).
Addressing border policy and immigration reform in another post from the same day, he stated: "9. Border Security & Immigration Reform Act: This bill includes a ton of bipartisan measures: additional Border Patrol officers, more judges, asylum reform… and perhaps most importantly, legal pathways for Dreamers and for folks who have been working here." (July 31, 2025).
Landsman also advocated for the creation of a new organization to address current challenges: "Second big thing: We need a new national entity — a group of people and leadership who are fully dedicated to this moment. We need it to reframe the narrative and meet the moment fully." (July 31, 2025).
Greg Landsman has served as the U.S. Representative for Ohio’s 1st District since replacing Steve Chabot in 2023. He was born in Cincinnati in 1976 and graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999.
