Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared his views on tax policy and Social Security through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).

On August 8, 2025, Landsman expressed criticism of the current tax system by stating, "The current tax code rewards wealth, and that’s why everyone is so pissed off. There’s an easy way to fix it https://t.co/B7VqmBDfa0". In a follow-up post made seconds later, he tagged media personality Katie Phang with a brief message: @KatiePhang.

The following day, August 9, 2025, Landsman addressed recent developments regarding taxes on Social Security benefits. He clarified the situation in his post: "1. They did not eliminate taxes on Social Security. What they did was create a temporary tax deduction for some working seniors. https://t.co/1D32bDABQS".

Landsman's remarks come as debates continue over how federal tax policy affects different segments of the population, including seniors receiving Social Security benefits.

Greg Landsman has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Steve Chabot as representative for Ohio's 1st district. Born in Cincinnati in 1976 and currently residing there, Landsman graduated from Ohio University with a BA in 1999.
