Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed several key issues through a series of posts on social media.
On August 20, 2025, Landsman raised concerns about federal healthcare spending cuts. He wrote, "$1 trillion in healthcare cuts will impact everyone, including seniors. At our Coffee with Congress in Blue Ash, we answered questions about cuts to cancer research, the need for Alzheimer’s funding, and our efforts to restore Medicaid funding."
The following day, on August 21, 2025, he criticized Congressional oversight regarding former President Donald Trump. Landsman stated: "Trump is enabled by a Republican-led Congress that’s not only failing to provide oversight but adding to the chaos."
On August 22, 2025, Landsman announced a local initiative aimed at addressing gun violence: "We’re coming together with community leaders, parents, mentors, and young people for our first-ever Gloves Up, Guns Down event. It’s a day of action against gun violence and supporting our community."
Landsman has served as the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 1st District since replacing Steve Chabot in 2023. Born in Cincinnati in 1976 and currently residing there at age 46, he graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999.
