Congressman Greg Landsman, who represents Ohio’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on public health policy and his recent activities during the August recess through a series of posts on August 28, 2025.

In an early morning post, Landsman criticized current federal actions regarding the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He wrote, "The CDC exists to save lives — through vaccines, research, and public health. This administration is undermining it at every turn. Messing with public health puts everyone at risk." (August 28, 2025).

Later that day, Landsman described his work during Congress's August recess. He stated, "August recess away from Congress means being back in SW Ohio, meeting with constituents, and collecting work to bring back to D.C. What we’ve been up to " (August 28, 2025).

Addressing broader political issues in another post that afternoon, Landsman commented on national challenges and efforts to protect democratic institutions: "The chaos, uncertainty, and attacks on our democracy demand a real plan. I laid out mine with Fred Wellman @OnDemocracyPod. " (August 28, 2025).

Landsman has served as the representative for Ohio’s 1st District since replacing Steve Chabot in 2023. Born in Cincinnati in 1976 and currently residing there at age 46, he graduated from Ohio University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
